~Third Person POV~

It had been almost a year since the chaos at her home... ever since S.T.O.R.M killed her family... Arabelle had been wandering with Freedom, her horse and her bow and arrows. It was hard... She didn't have a saddle or reigns and not many people let her into restaurants with a weapon. She'd made the decision to take her loyal horse and bow back to her home, despite the fear of reliving the horrible memories. She couldn't keep traveling with them like this. It was already hard enough. Every time she ran into S.T.O.R.M or another group she had a run in with that followed a man name Klipse, she had to run with Freedom. The girl couldn't hide easily with a white horse.

She was already on her way, not too far from her old home. She was on Freedom's back and her house was in sight. She was riding along the long drive way when she noticed the mailbox had something in it. She slowed Freedom to a stop and slid from her back. Without much thought, she retrieved the mail from the box. Though there was not as much mail as she thought there would be.

It had been a year though it was still addressed to her family. It seemed Benji was still there, though no one knew her parents and brother had been killed. He must have been taking care of everything around the house. She was very grateful for his help.

The young red head lead Freedom the rest of the way up the drive way and let her into the pasture. Cobalt, the black stallion my father used to ride, sure seemed happy to see her.

She headed over to the main house and entered... Looking around, she noticed nothing had changed, other than obvious repairs after the attack. It had been so long... Though instead of reminiscing, she started to sift through the mail. She saw a few bills that needed to be paid. That would be fairly easy to take care of without anyone knowing it wasn't her parents. There were a few random coupons and magazines. But there was one that stuck out...

Dear Arabelle,

We haven't heard from you or your family for a while, so we wanted to invite you to my human society benefit on Saturday. Wear something really really nice. It'll start at eight PM. I really hope you can come! We miss you!

Love,
Amy

Her throat tightened reading the letter. Amy was an old friend of the young French girl. She didn't know yet what happened...

She thought to herself for a while, and figured that going may lessen any suspicions. She would have to think of a reason for her throat injury and why her parents and brother Ben were not there.

She'd most likely just say they went back to Paris for a family thing and she stayed behind being sick or something. She would find a story. Her throat... that would be a little difficult.

Arabelle rested for a while, trying not to be impacted by old memories. It was hard, but she dealt with it. She found Benji and he engulfed her in a hug... the girl almost couldn't breathe. He really was a big man. She spent a few days at home, just hoping to take a break from all of the running. Though soon, Saturday approached.

She found a dress to wear to Amy's charity party, seeing as the party was that night. So tonight she would take her leave. Amy's home wasn't too far off, so Arabelle could easily ride Freedom or Cobalt. Most likely Cobalt since Freedom needed a rest.

It wasn't too long until the party would start, so she was getting herself ready. Though she had Cecile's core hidden under her dress. She was not going anywhere without her.

She had already showered and gotten herself fixed up. Her family had been rather wealthy, so they were high up in society. But she didn't mind being in the forest and doing hard work. Labor in fact. Before Benji came along, she was taking care of the horses.

Not too long after she was on her way to Amy's. She rode on Cobalt, her black stallion. She'd put the side riding saddle on. She would have taken the car, but she still didn't know how to drive...

It only took her a little while to get there, and she tied Cobalt to a tree a few yards from the house. She was greeted by a bus boy at the door. He had glasses, longish brown hair that was tied back and he was fairly tall.

The boy seemed to blink when she walked up. The red haired girl looked up to him and smiled.

He seemed to look for words for a moment, and then finally said, "Uh, welcome! Have a good evening!" He said with a grin.

She smiled back and used the sign language for thank you. It was obvious what she intended to say, and that she couldn't speak, having bandages on her throat. Despite her effort to hide the white strips with a scarf, they peeked out from behind. She didn't really need them, seeing as she only had a scar, but she didn't want people staring at it either.

She walked into the large house, and the boy seemed to watch after her, though she didn't exactly notice. He went back to greeting others as she vanished into the crowd of people.

She looked around for Amy, but...

"Bell!" She spotted her first... She was suddenly glomped from behind. It was hard to keep her balance seeing as she was in heels. But thankfully she managed to stay standing.

Arabelle turned to Amy with a smile. She hugged her back, thankful to see her friend.

"Where the crag have you been?!" She exclaimed.

She smiled and held up her finger to show she needed to wait a minute. The red haired girl pulled out a small note pad and pen from the hand bag she had.

"Bell, what are you...?" She then noticed her neck. "Oh my god... what happened to you?!"

She began to write down her explanation.

It was Ben's turn to cook, and he accidentally dropped his house key in the food. Do not ask me how. He was being careless. I had to get surgery to get it out. It lodged into my throat.

She read the note and sweat dropped. "That brother of yours is going to be on my death list!" She exclaimed. If only she knew...

"Well, at least you're alright... But where is your family?" She asked.

They had to go back to Paris for some family thing, but I was sick so I stayed behind.

"... Really?" She asked, and all she could do was nod. It was what she had to make her believe.

"Amelia! Come here dear!" Her mother's voice called out from across the room.

"Crag... I'll have to talk to you later!" She hugged her again and gave her air kisses by both cheeks. Arabelle wasn't a big fan of it, but she was raised that way.

She nodded with a smile and watched as her friend rushed through the crowd, gracefully of course.

It was so good to see her again... But her memories were suddenly interrupted by a loud crash, not too far from her.

She jumped a little and turned to see a bus boy frantically trying to clean the mess. He had accidentally dropped a tray of small snacks for the guests. He had brown hair and glasses. The poor boy was panicked...

Some of the guests were giving him arrogant looks. She hated when people could be so prissy.

She began to walk over, deciding to be the bigger person and help the boy. She reached him and crouched down to help, and started to pick up the mess.

The boy blinked and looked up at her. "O-oh! Thanks!" He said, though she could tell he was confused as to why a guest was helping him.

The girl just gave him a friendly smile.

"Aw man, I knew we should've had you be the greeter at the door, B." A voice said and she noticed someone else crouch down beside them to help. Though she kept helping instead of looking up.

Though when she reached for another piece, he ended up trying to grab the same one. Their hands collided, though with no force.

She blinked and looked up at him, while at the same time he looked up at her. Their eyes made contact. He had jet black hair and teal blue eyes. He was rather handsome.

"Uh... sorry!" He said after a moment of silence.

He quickly picked up the piece so she didn't have to.

The girl just smiled at him. It seemed everyone else around had gone back to what they were doing before.

After the mess was cleaned they all stood up.

"Ah, thanks for the help...!" The boy with glasses said.

Once again she pulled out her small note pad and began to write something.

You are very welcome, mon ami.

"Huh...?" He said and blinked. "You can't talk?" He asked.

She shook her head and pulled the scarf down a bit, revealing her bandages.

"Oh man, that's a real bummer." He said. "I bet it's hard to order food when you go out alone!"

"Bren." The boy with black hair said through gritted teeth.

"Oh, right. You have people to do that don't you!"

She sweat dropped and shook her head. She actually made her own food most of the time...

"Alright geek boy." A voice said from behind the boy named Bren. "Come on!" It was a girl with freckles and ginger colored hair...

She grabbed his arm and started to drag him toward the kitchen. Arabelle just sweat dropped again... What was that about?

"Um, sorry about my friend. He really means well." She blinked and looked over to the black haired boy.

Once more she smiled and wrote something on a new small page.

It is alright. Do not worry about it.

He gave her a kind smile. "Alright. I'm Chase by the way... Oh! Um, if you wanted to know that is." He said, probably thinking that she might not have really cared.

It is very nice to meet you, Chase. I am Arabelle.

He seemed to grin when she showed him the note. "Nice to meet you too, Arabelle!" He really did seem like a nice boy. "Heh, I would ask you to dance, but... I don't think my boss would like me slacking off." He said with a grin.

Arabelle gave a small yet silent laugh. He was right. But something seemed off... something he had just said was not right...

"Hey, Chase!" A boy with dark skin and dread locks walked up from the side. "The others want to see you." He said.

"Alright." Chase turned back to the girl with a smile. "Well, it was nice talking to you!" He said, and headed off with the dark skinned boy.

He had been quite nice... But one thing bothered her... Bus boys didn't have bosses. They had Clients.

Suddenly, someone tapped her on the shoulder from behind. She blinked and turned to see a young man. He had dark brown hair and onyx colored eyes.

"May I have this dance, my lady?" He asked with a smile and held out his hand.

She didn't think much of it, so she accepted... which was her mistake.

She gave a small smile and nodded, allowing him to take her hand and lead her to the dance floor.

"I'm Christopher Deluego." He introduced himself. "So, I assume by seeing you using a note pad, and the bandages on your neck, you can't talk?" He asked.

She nodded. He was correct.

"Well then, I'll only ask you yes or no questions then." He smiled as we danced.

Arabelle was grateful for his consideration.

"My first question... Is your name Arabelle Le` Fae?" He asked.

She blinked in confusion. How did he know that?

The girl nodded, though looked wary.

He laughed lightly. "Oh don't worry. I just asked your friend Amelia your name." That made much more sense to the girl. Why didn't he just say that in the first place?

"My second question... Are you in school?" He asked smiling.

She nodded, though it wasn't true.

"Alright... Now... are you single?" He seemed to keep smiling, though she wasn't sure what to think of this boy...

Again she just nodded. It wasn't like he could really ask her out. At least, she couldn't agree. The girl didn't think she would be sticking around long.

He smiled brightly. "Wonderful. Now, one more question..." He leaned closer and whispered in her ear. "Are you a Monsuno controller?"

Her dual colored eyes widened, and she was just about to shove him away, but thought better of it. Instead, she recomposed herself and shook her head.

Christopher smirked blatantly... "Then why do you have a core strapped to your thigh?" His hand slid from her waist down to where she had Cecile's core.

Arabelle almost felt like panicking, and she instantly pushed his hand away.

"Hey, this bandito causing you trouble, princess?" A familiar voice asked from behind. She looked back and saw the dark skinned boy from before that told Chase he needed to see someone.

She was just about to answer with a nod, but Christopher beat her to it.

"Ah, not at all. We're just chatting while we dance." He said.

"Huh, looks a bit more like grabbing while you dance." He retorted and put his hands in his pockets. She caught a glimpse of something under his jacket. They were cores...

It seemed Arabelle wasn't the only one who noticed. Christopher tensed up, and his hand went to his pocket as well. Did he have a core in his possession...?

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, bandito." The boy said.

Arabelle blinked, wondering what he meant... Then she looked around and noticed there were a few people spread out watching us... All bus boys... and the one girl. The people she'd saw before along with a few others... She knew something was not right about them.

"Hmph... Like any of you could beat me." He said and stepped back, away from her. He pulled a red core from his pocket. One of Klipse's cores.

"Staghorn, launch!" He exclaimed and he sent the core spinning.

Arabelle couldn't help but think he was insane. There were innocent people in here, and despite the size of the place, spinning out a monsuno would still cause a lot of damage.

Some people shouted and cried out when suddenly a stag like beast appeared from a flash of red light. It was black with red eyes and red crystalline antler tips.

The guests all tried to flood out as fast as they could, screaming and shouting.

"Ah crag, we can't spin out in here!" Bren cried out. Arabelle could easily hear him from where she was.

"If only we had a smaller Monsuno!" The boy who greeted me at the door earlier came running up. "I'd bring out Tigerhawk, but he's too big!"

"I have Whip-" The ginger haired girl started to say, but Arabelle pulled Cecile's core from her thigh and spun it out.

"Cecile, launch!"

My thoughts were enough to set my smaller fox Monsuno. She came from the blue light of my Core-Tech core and her nine tails spread out.

The group looked at my Monsuno partner in shock.

"She... she's a Monsuno controller?!" Bren exclaimed.

It was somewhat ironic, seeing as they each at least spoke with her once... or at least they had seen her once before.

She waved her arm to get their attention. Once they looked in her direction, she signaled for them to cover their eyes. Once they did, she readied her plan...

"Cecile, Blinding Gaze!"

Each of Cecile's tails spread out and they seemed to light up. She covered her own eyes as the flash of light went off.

"What...?!" Christopher shouted, suddenly being blinded, his Monsuno Staghorn blinded as well.

Arabelle whistled the okay to open their eyes and she used her arm to motion for them to run, and they got the hint. They all began to run for the doors. The two would only be blinded for a short time, so they had to move.

Once outside, she ran to Cobalt and mounted as fast as she could. Cecile, by her orders, put three of the group on her back.

"Wha- hey!" The boy with dread locks exclaimed.

"Just go with it man, she's helping us!" Chase exclaimed.

The other boy with longer brown hair spun out a Monsuno as well. "Tigerhawk, launch!" He called out, and a tiger and hawk mixed Monsuno appeared. He climbed on, then helped the ginger haired girl, and another she hadn't see before.

She rode a bit toward the road and passed the others, but then stopped and turned, motioning for them to follow her. Cecile already knew, but she had to make sure the boy with the Monsuno Tigerhawk understood.

He nodded, and after that confirmation, she took off on Cobalt while they followed on the Monsuno.

Well, she could certainly say, that party, had been crashed.
