Ship and OC Hating [WARNING: Personal Opinions]

Okay, this blog is probably going to stir up a lot of hate towards me, but I quite frankly don't care anymore. I have seen a rash of hate flaring up about OC's and ships in particular fandoms (mainly Voltron) and it's really starting to piss me off. This is a touchy subject for most people so many avoid it, but I'm sick and tired of seeing fans tear into other fans for making OC's to pair with canon characters or pairing other canon characters they don't like. I swear, we've gone backward with sharing the love and making everything fair and equal. What the fuck is wrong with people? You're tearing into someone on the Internet for making an OC
